Polyolefin Plastomer (POP) is a polyolefin material, which is a copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of ethylene with a small amount of alpha-olefin. POP has plastic properties and is distinguished from polyolefin elastomers (POE), whose copolymer has a mass fraction of less than 20%, so POP has a high density. Due to its low starting temperature, good thermal viscosity, resistance to contamination and thermal sealing properties, as well as toughness, tear resistance and transparency, POP is widely used in film preparation, especially in applications requiring heat sealing layers, such as food packaging, hygiene and medical fields, elastic films and packaging of personal care products. Compared with POE, the application of POP is more inclined to film products, and POE is more suitable for plastic modification, automotive parts manufacturing, photovoltaic packaging film and shoe foam due to its better weather resistance and aging resistance.

Polyolefin Plastomer (POP), as a special polyolefin material, has been used in many fields because of its unique properties. POP is mainly used in applications that require good sealing performance, such as:
1. packaging industry: POP is used in flexible packaging, especially in applications that require heat sealing, because it provides excellent heat sealing strength and low heat sealing temperature, suitable for food packaging,
2. pharmaceutical packaging, etc. Sanitary products: POP is often used in sanitary products such as baby diapers and adult incontinence products for its softness and comfort to the touch.
3. Agriculture: POP can be used to make agricultural mulching films that have good light transmittance and mechanical properties that aid in crop growth.
4. Other applications: POP can also be used to produce sheath materials for wire and cable, as well as waterproof breathable films in some special fields.
