Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC) is a high-performance polymer prepared by metallocene catalyzed copolymerization of ethylene and a cycloolefin monomer such as norbornene or its derivatives. This material has excellent optical transparency, low birefringence, chemical resistance and good heat resistance, while maintaining good processability. Because of these excellent properties, COCs are widely used in products that require high transparency, such as optical lenses, packaging materials (such as vials), display components, and medical devices.
