Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the third most produced synthetic polymer plastic in the world (after polyethylene and polypropylene), producing approximately 40 million tons of PVC per year. PVC is a polymer of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) polymerized in peroxide, azo compound and other initiators or under the action of light and heat according to free radical polymerization reaction mechanism.

Product Parameters

PVC is a white powder with an amorphous structure, low branching degree, relative density of around 1.4, and a glass transition temperature of 77-90 ºC. It begins to decompose at around 170 ºC and has poor stability to light and heat.

The molecular weight of PVC produced in industrial production has high polydispersity and no fixed melting point. It begins to soften at 80-85 ºC, becomes viscoelastic at 130 ºC, and transforms into a viscous flow state at 160-180 ºC; Has good mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of around 60MPa and an impact strength of 5-10kJ/m2; Has excellent dielectric properties.
