PETG is a thermoplastic, full name Polyethylene Terephthalate -1, 4-cyclohexane dimethyl ester (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol). It is a material modified from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) by adding 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) to improve its properties.

PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate -1, 4-cyclohexane dimethyl ester) is a transparent, tough and highly processable thermoplastic. It has several main uses:
1. 3D printing: PETG is very popular in 3D printing because of its good interlayer adhesion and temperature resistance, especially for making functional prototypes and end-use parts.
2. Packaging materials: PETG is commonly used in the manufacture of food and beverage containers such as bottles, jars and food trays because of its good transparency and chemical resistance.
3. Signage and display: Due to its excellent transparency and impact resistance, PETG is widely used in the manufacture of signs, display stands and billboards.
